Skid marks on a highway,
Chrome and blood on the stone,
A legend lays dying
In the night all alone
No one sees his passing,

His ragged breath gives way to death-
As Freya calls his name.

The news comes like the winter sun,
With it's empty distant light,
His women cry, his brothers sigh
As they bid their friend goodnight
Thinking back to better days,
And to things that might have been-
